HEMYCA launch their anticipated SS/10 collection at London a la Mode this coming August. London a la Mode is a pop-up showroom concept introducing British brands to British and International buyers. HEMYCA are showcasing their latest collection amongst many other British designers including Harriet’s muse, Alexandra Groover and Neurotica. The launch party is held on the 3rd August at ‘The Fellow’ in Kings Cross, 24 York Way N1 9AA. Hemyca have just been awarded the top prize and funding from Knowledge Connect. Knowledge Connect is a practical programme that helps London's buisnesses to grow and prosper by connecting them to the expertise of the City's universities. Hemyca will be working closely with London College of Fashion to increase their collections from two to four per year and to launch entry price points. Hemyca will also be exploring new digital print oppotunities with the assistance of LCF as part of their new product diversification. Hemyca were awarded the top prize over many other promising businesses as Knowledge Connect believes that they are an up and coming gem with the potential to sell and compete within the high-end fashion sector. Now with the guidance of the experienced team from Knowledge Connect which consists of digital print innovation expert Robert Burton, pre-season product development and buyer behaviour specialist Angela Quaintrell and high end fashion business research specialist Jan Miller, it can only be imagined that Hemyca will grow bigger and better from now on! Hemyca at the Craft Central Shopping Experience Kick off the summer season by popping into Craft Central for a truly unique shopping experience and unearth an oasis in the heart of London's cutting edge design scene. Visitors are able to view tempting craft and design by over 70 designers as Craft Central opens its doors for the Made in Clerkenwell event. Visit Hemyca's bespoke design service that will make you the envy of your friends this summer. Us Hemyca girls will of course be in the studio mingling with visitors and exhibiting our collections. Make the most of this intriguing "behind the scenes" chance to view Hemyca's design studio, meet the girls and have a sneaky peak at our collections with a few drinks and a good old gossip. Britain's Next Top Model HEMYCA are proud to announce that they are currently working with Vauxhall Fashion Scout and stylist Rebekah Roy for the new upcoming series of ‘Britain's Next Top Model'. Rachel Wood and Benefit Cosmetics are applying the make-up while the Tony&Guy team style the hair for the show. The Britain's Next Top Model series hosted by Lisa Snowdon, begins soon on Living TV. A/W09 London Fashion Week HEMYCA showed its AW09 collection "A Venetian Affair" at London Fashion Week. Inspired by the architecture, history and romance of Venice, the collection embodied the essence of passion. The collection consisted of corset inspired shapes and sophisticated silhouettes in rich fabrics of organza, satin, lace and menswear tailoring. The hair was styled by the team from Tony & Guy and the makeup was applied by Benefit Cosmetics. The show was sponsored by Vauxhall Fashion Scout (for more info please see vauxhallfashionscout.com).
